Equipping Preschoolers' & Children's Bible Study Leaders

“From childhood you have known the sacred Scriptures.” This was emphasized by Timothy’s mentor in the ministry, Paul. He challenged Timothy to continue in what he had learned as a child (2 Timothy 3:14-15). Learning the Scriptures as a child is so vital to establishing a foundation for faith in Jesus Christ. Obviously, the home should be the center of a child's Scripture instruction, but the church has a responsibility, too. The church has the responsibility of making sure their children's leaders are fulfilling this need. In the Bible study setting, this would be the children's/preschoolers' small group or Sunday School leaders. These leaders are vital as they model the Christian faith, build relationships with the child and family, and teach the Scriptures in a way that is appropriate for the children. That is why training for these leaders is so vital.
